The Proposal On Video
When two Soul Mates meet, it's truly magical. There's a perfect fit. You know it. You know it in your gut. There are no words that can describe it.
Unless you've experienced this yourself (we hope you have), you wouldn't understand when we say it feels as if we've known each other for a lifetime.
In fact, we were told that we are meant to be together like a licorice twist. How true.
When we met, we instantly connected on so many levels — spiritually, emotionally, physically and psychologically. And more.
If you ever seen us together, you'd giggle at how many times we finish each other's sentences. How we seem to eerily think or say the same things at the same time (and we do, my gosh, we do it constantly!).
We share the same values. The same work ethic. The same goals. The same views about spirituality, humanity and family. And above all, we traveled the same paths.
You wouldn’t believe how many days and nights we spent talking, conversing about everything, until our eyes can’t stay open any longer and we need to go to sleep!
As Soul Mates, it was uncanny to learn that we had led parallel lives to this point. (If you know the story, you would be as amazed as we were!) And now, we continue on this path together for the remainder of this voyage…
And beyond.
So On September 17, 2005…
In beautiful Phoenix, Arizona, Michel (affectionately called "Mish") proposed to his "Rish" (short for his "licorice") live on stage in front of over 180 cheering people. As nervous as we were, the feeling was exhilarating.
Impossible to express in words.
But, do you know the result? Did she say “yes?” Well, not really. She didn’t “say” “yes.” But the result was totally unexpected. It was a surprise to us all. Even us!
A lot of people asked if it was all "staged." No. Not at all. (Just look at how nervous Michel was!) Believe me, it was unexpected. But since we're both Soul Mates and know each other so well, we both knew it.

The Date Has Been Set!
So we decided to get married on August 13th, 2006. We chose Orchard View Estates And Conference Center, because it's not only an animal sanctuary (we love animals!) but also because we're getting married in the outdoor gazebo, with a beautiful river trailing behind us, rocks and a breathtaking forest filling the scenery.
Since we’re vegetarians, we wanted animals and water to be part of this incredible day. (Not to mention that our buffet for the reception will be primarily vegetarian. So this location is perfect for us. We fell in love with it the first day we went to visit it.
